I have been taking English lessons every day from Filipino teachers since September.
The lessons include reading English articles, explaining pictures, and learning grammar.
I'm not good at grammar, and the thing I get the most attention from is articles.
In today's lesson, I learned about articles that I don't understand.
In the end, if the article is not clear, it will affect the singular and plural forms, so I would like to make it clear.
Example
My daughter had an overwhelming amount of homework during winter vacation.
She had much/ a lot of homework.
She had her homework.
I had my homework.
私は、9月からフィリピンの先生から毎日英語のレッスンを受けています。
レッスンの内容は、英語の記事を読んだり、写真を描写したり、文法を習ったりです。
私は、文法が得意でないので、一番注意されるのは冠詞です。
今日のレッスンでは、冠詞のわからないところを教えてもらいました。
結局、冠詞が明確にならないと単数・複数系にも影響するので、明確にしたいです。
例
私の娘は、冬休みに圧倒的な量の宿題がありました
彼女には宿題がたくさんありました。
彼女には宿題があった。
宿題がありました。
宿題は、不可算名詞。much/ a lot ofをつけるとhomeworkにsを付けてしまいそうになる。
動詞をhaveにすると既に自分がもっているので、所有格をつけるとちょっと違和感があるようです。
他は、災害、損害など不可算名詞だけど、加算名詞になる場合もあるの習いました。
